Seriously, stop race selecting. Every single person who does it is a *WIMP*. This website is designed to measure your typing average while also *RACING* other people. Do NASCAR racers just drive off of the track when they're in 8th place or higher???
You are not correctly calculating your average. Why are you using the website if you "race select" or ragequit? There are plenty of other websites that don't encourage competitions, where you can selectively measure your WPM all you want.
The only possible reason you'd be race selecting is for one of two reasons. 1) You want to look cool/have a high WPM average.
2) You want to win a competition.
Both of those make you unethical and immoral.
Stop screwing over the entire website by being a wimp. "Instant Death Mode" is designed for people like you: it automatically quits FOR you as soon as you make a mistake, so you don't have to!
Anyway, please excuse any disrespect, but if this message is targetting you, please reconsider your life's ways.
